SPC-142: Public Speaking

Course Description

Primarily concerned with the source and substance of ideas, evidence, and reasoning that form the basis for good oral communication. Students will write and present original speeches applying these ideas and the principles of organization, clarity, vitality, and ethics. When speaking, students will learn effective ways to use voice and body language to communicate a message and meet time/deadline expectations. Three class hours.
